Come and sing with the
London Oriana Choir

We are always ready to welcome new talent and entry is by audition. Of course, a good voice and music reading skills are important, but the main requirements are enthusiasm and commitment. We have openings in all sections, but at present are particularly interested in new basses.

Our current subscription is £112 for the first year of membership and £170 thereafter, which covers our costs for the rehearsal venue, our musical director and pianist. There is a concession rate of £48 for students and jobseekers. We also have a bursary scheme for students in full-time education, which helps meets the cost of buying music.

Rehearsals take place at the Grey Coat Hospital School, Greycoat Place, London SW1 (nearest tube: St James's Park. Buses 11, 24, 211, 507) on Wednesday evenings at 6.40 pm until 9.30 pm. There is a 15 minute break half-way through.

During rehearsals, a voice coach is available for half-hour sessions with choir members (these need to be booked in advance), and choir members are encouraged to take singing lessons and take part in our voice workshops.

If you enjoy singing and would like to play a part in the success of our choir, please fill out our audition form and e-mail it to our chairs, Fiona Tong (women) or Simon Funnell (men). Simon or Fiona will contact you to arrange your attendance at one of our rehearsals before fixing a date for an audition.

Currently scheduled audition dates can be seen on the Annual Plan for choir members.
