​Are you aged 18–25 and ready to take your singing to the next level?

You can now apply for London Oriana Choir’s 2026/27 Choral Scholarship Programme: a unique opportunity for a small number of ambitious young singers to gain high-level experience, professional development, and performance opportunities at the heart of one of London’s most dynamic and versatile choirs.

​

This year’s programme offers a range of musical, professional and creative experiences over our September to July season. Scholars will develop their solo and ensemble technique, be mentored by industry-leading professionals, and work on a portfolio of recorded material that supports future career goals. 

​

Programme highlights include:

• Free membership of London Oriana Choir, rehearsing weekly under Musical Director Dominic Ellis-Peckham, for the whole of its 2026/27 season, to prepare and perform six self-promoted concerts;

• A £100 contribution towards music costs;

• Three individual singing lessons: one with Dominic, and two with the choir’s professional singing teacher;

• Opportunities to perform live in front of choir members, both individually and as a consort with other scholars;

• Coaching session with one of the choir’s associate professional musicians; 

• Filmed performances: recording of songs to camera, ideal for showreels, auditions and applications;

• Career development session and support, with references if requested;

• Opportunities to take part in commercial engagements;

• Workshopping and recording of new music composed by members of the choir’s Composers Group; and

• Opportunities to attend high-level rehearsals and performances of leading UK consorts, choruses and an internationally renowned opera company.

 

This is a rare chance to experience the breadth of choral music – from major concert repertoire to recent commissions – while gaining invaluable insight into the professional musical world, in one of London’s most friendly and sociable choirs. In past seasons, the choir has performed with renowned artists such as Madonna, Robert Plant and Pete Townshend, and premiered new works by emerging and established composers.

We’re looking for confident, committed singers in all voices who are eager to grow as musicians, performers and collaborators. Whether you’re studying or pursuing music or embarking on an alternative professional path with a passion and dedication to music as a hobby, this 10 month programme offers a supportive and enriching environment to develop your voice.
