London Oriana Choir has been invited to perform Adrian Snell's 'The Cry' at a charity fundraising concert at the Ukrainian Catholic Cathedral of the Holy Family in London on 11 November. The choir will be joined by singers from Alleyn's school, soloist Katy Treharne, and will be conducted by Dominic Ellis-Peckham.
The concert will be a unique evening of music to raise funds for trauma counselling for children and mothers on the frontline, supported by the mental health charity Beyond Conflict, and for The Ukrainian Welcome Centre in London for displaced Ukrainians who fled the war. In addition to Adrian Snell's 'The Cry', which the Choir premiered in St Paul's Cathedral in 2008, the concert will also include a performance of Ukrainian music by members of the Ukraine community.
